Wolves sign restricted free-agent guard Ramon Sessions

The Timberwolves today announced the team has signed restricted free-agent guard Ramon Sessions to an offer sheet. Under the terms of the NBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement, the Milwaukee Bucks will have seven days upon receiving the offer sheet to match Minnesota's offer. Per team policy, terms of the contract offer were not disclosed.

(Mr. T's Sports Report) And the award for Best Actor in a Dramatic Series…People love stories.  Meryl Streep’s character (Baroness Karen von Blixen) was a lovely storyteller in the movie Out of Africa.  Musically, Jill Scott, Kenny Rogers, and Slick Rick are a few well-known storytellers.  Somehow, just for a moment, I wish all those storytelling artists were either Packers or a Vikings fans, so they could apply their creative talent to the telling of the story of Brett Favre coming to play for the Minnesota Vikings.

(Mr. T's Sports Report) Impressions from Vikings Training CampWithout the Brett Favre circus coming to town, the Vikings training camp seemed to lose a little zip and zap.  Many people thought that Vikings quarterbacks Travaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels would perhaps suffer from a case of hurt feelings since the team showed strong interest in bringing Brett Favre on board.  My commentary on this was A. Brett Favre was one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of the NFL, so duh, of course you would give him a shot, and B. those two (Jackson and Rosenfels) get paid more than enough money to afford some form of marvelous remedy for hurt feelings.

Tiger wins Buick Open by three strokesIt can be easily argued that Tiger Woods has had the greatest cultural impact on sports of any athlete ever, though his impact is only possible through the past achievements of icons such as Jackie Robinson and Bill Russell.  If Jackie Robinson came to town for competition (when he was alive, funny people), knowing what we know now of the history that was taking place, there is no doubt that people would be climbing over each other to be a part of that history.
