The organization has a history of breaking hearts, but they have Adrian Peterson, so it ain't all bad. Prognosticators have already revised their previous 2014 Vikings predictions, due to the impressive way the team has performed in the pre-season. But while most are being non-committal to say just how good the team might be, I'll call out the Vikings to be one of the big surprises in the NFL this season – not surprise as in Super bowl surprise, but surprise like, go ahead and blow that Viking horn and enjoy a winning season kind of surprise.
The Minnesota Lynx have a very special team of leaders.
This is the stuff that sports dynasties are made of. But the road leading to the Lynx third WNBA Championship is just the challenge that this historic group of ballers needs; because after all, championships, dynasties and their big shiny trophies shouldn't come easy ... and they don't.
They've got new coaches, players, systems, playing facilities and so on. And while it's hard to know what all this new stuff is going to do, we can always bank on the barbershop pundits to wax poetic, comical, sometimes even biblical, about everything ... including the Vikings.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have a "handshake agreement" to trade star power forward Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers (yes the team with Lebron James) in exchange for this years' #1 pick Andrew Wiggins from the University of Kansas. Also likely in the deal, are draft picks and a valuable young forward from the Philadelphia 76ers named Thaddeus Young. As with any big ticket trade, opinions vary, but it is always valuable to consider the obvious.
A green line painted on the sidewalk led baseball fans from FanFest events at the Minneapolis Convention Center, winding through Nicollet Mall, and ultimately landing visitors at the doorstep of Target Field for the 2014 Major League Baseball All-Star game.
