The following is a list of candidates receiving endorsements from various sources for the upcoming Aug. 14 primaries.
Womenwinning has endorsed multiple candidates such as State Rep. District 59B candidate Terra Cole, Hennepin County Commissioner District 2 candidates Tonia Johnson, Linda Higgins and Paula Pentel. Pentel is also endorsed by Hennepin County Sheriff Deputies Association.

CHICAGO -- With President Obama continuing to campaign in Iowa today, it's important to note how local editorial boards have publicly rebuked Mitt Romney's opposition to the Wind Energy Tax Credit, which is set to expire at the end of this year. Unlike President Obama, who supports extending the tax credit, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan want to let the credits expire, which would put thousands of jobs at risk in Iowa and other states.
On any given weekday morning in 1963 average schoolchildren stood upright in classrooms, hand over heart, reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. It was a customary act. Ironically, the lives of average Black children and their families during that time were at odds with the pledge's line, "one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
