Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak Tuesday nominated eight current City of Minneapolis department heads to new terms in their jobs, including Police Chief Tim Dolan. Other department directors nominated to new terms include: Patrick Todd (Assessor); Susan Segal (Attorney); Steven Bosacker (City Coordinator) Mike Christenson (CPED); Alex Jackson (Fire); Gretchen Musicant (Health); Steve Kotke (Public Works).

Mayor Rybak also nominated current Assistant City Coordinator Rocco Forte, who supervises the Department of Regulatory Services and the Department of Emergency Preparedness under City Coordinator Steven Bosacker, to head a free-standing, charter Department of Regulatory Services. The mayor did not nominate current director of the Civil Rights Department, Michael Jordan, to a new term.
Mayor Rybak moved the nominations at a meeting Tuesday morning of the City’s Executive Committee. The Executive Committee voted unanimously to forward the nominations to the City Council for confirmation.

Attached is a spreadsheet of Mayor Rybak’s nominees and the key dates and milestones in the confirmation process.

“Minneapolis’ leadership team is exceptionally strong, both as individuals and collectively. I am pleased to move these nominations today and look forward to working closely with the City Council through the process of confirming them,” Mayor Rybak said.
