Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Minneapolis is making the gradeThe fifth class of seniors from Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Minneapolis graduated this spring with every single senior receiving an acceptance letter to a 2- or 4-year college. In total, the seniors applied to 98 colleges in 27 states and 2 foreign countries for a total of 229 acceptances. The school's seniors were also awarded $1.37 million dollars in scholarships for their first year of college.

Often, the prevailing image of Black people in almost every reality show is one of dysfunction, savagery and buffoonery. Seldom are African-Americans shown in a positive light. Even those who have achieved successes prior to television somehow seem cartoonish when shown under the lights of reality TV.
