Bethune Community School in Minneapolis is getting an exciting new mural thanks to the 1st and 2nd grade teachers, the art teacher, artist Greg Preslicka and Turnaround Arts Minnesota, who is helping to fund the project. Preslicka worked with the 1st and 2nd grade students at the school to generate ideas for what the mural might contain. The theme for the mural is "A Community of Fun & Successful Kids."
Robbinsdale Area Schools will host a series of upcoming workshops for parents to prepare new kindergartners entering the district next fall. Let's Get Ready for Kindergarten is a new series of workshops and resources to provide families with practical tools to have their new kindergartner ready on day one. Each workshop is offered at no charge to families.
Cooper High School's Students In Action team takes third at Minnesota region competition

Cooper High School's Students In Action team ("CIA") won third place and took home a gold banner at the Minnesota region Students in Action Spring Competition April 18. The competition included an online survey and an oral presentation on service efforts over the past year. The team also received a gold banner for their work. The girls are junior Pachia Xiong, senior Pakou Vang, junior Allison Merkl, junior Abigail Merkl and junior Madison Nichols.
