Supplies depleted: Urgent need for nonperishable food items for North Minneapolis residents

There is an immediate need for nonperishable food items in the North Minneapolis area.

EMERGE, in partnership with Pillsbury United Communities and the United Way, has been actively distributing food items to affected residents of the May 22 tornado.  Due to the overwhelming need of the community, and the inability for people to travel to sites where these services may be available, we have had an overwhelming response for items to be delivered directly to the homes of these families.  Our resources for nonperishable food items and household cleaning supplies have been depleted.
