Weather again delays opening of yard waste collection sites

Three of seven Ramsey County yard waste sites will open Monday, April 15; remaining four sites will open Saturday, April 20.

Due to continued precipitation and colder than normal temperatures, Ramsey County will open three of its seven yard waste sites on Monday, April 15, 2013, and delay opening four of them until Saturday April 20, 2013.

Yard waste collection sites at Midway, Frank & Sims and White Bear Township will be open the following hours starting April 15:
Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.;
Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.;
Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Yard waste collection sites at Arden Hills, Mounds View, Totem Town and Pleasant Avenue will be open the same days and hours starting April 20.

All sites accept leaves, grass and non-woody plants. Only Arden Hills, Frank & Sims, Midway and White Bear Township also accept trees and shrubs, but no stumps.

Ramsey County’s yard waste sites are open to Ramsey County residents only. Residents should be prepared to show a driver’s license upon entering the site.
