Haters for Hillary!

So what are Hillary's supporters saying to all those murdered Iraqis' children and their suffering heirs? How will the rest of the world see Americans if we elect the woman who voted for war when we had a brother who had the insight to vote against the war? What does experience count when you've unnecessarily sent thousands to the grave? What excuse has she or any senator or congressman after hearing Barack's "great speech," as she put it? What kind of person would think Bush more convincing than Barack? Panderer: A go-between in love intrigues; a pimp; a minister of the evil passions of others. – Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, 1953. Like Hillary in South Carolina talking about "and my favorite . . . Fredrick DUCKLESS"? Was I the only one that heard that? (Thank you, Tivo.) And as far as Hillary bringing up Rezko in an attempt to distort our view of a fellow "American"? She unwittingly gave the world another reason why the Clintons do not deserve the presidency. Was I the only one that saw the picture of the Clintons smiling from ear-to-ear posing with the said "slum lord?"

On Sunday, Jan. 20, Tim Russert (Meet the Press) played a video clip of Bill Clinton in 1992 making the exact same point about Reagan as did Obama. What followed was a clip of Bill in New Hampshire spinning Obama's point: "I'm not making this stuff up. . . "

When I think Clinton, I think Paxil and Zoloft and billions for doctors who are willing to use children as guinea pigs for drug companies. Now she wants to bind us to the hustle of the F.D.A. Leave it to Americans.

I think some political analysts are intimidating the weak, making comments about Black folk voting for Barack just because he's Black. Black American people have proven to be much more sophisticated than that. We see Barack's presidential manner as clearly as we see Hillary's contempt. And as far as Barack's being Black, that's just a plus for all Americans; be they whites, Natives, Chinese, Laotian, Mexican, Japanese. The racial phenomenon isn't about a Black man running for president or the Black vote. The racial phenomenon is that the whites are largely rejecting Hillary over Obama. Years after King's assassination, whites are beginning to see character over skin color. Really? I am encouraged by this, but the history of this country reminds me to not get my hopes up. Of course I'll vote, but if the white power structure suppressed the black vote putting Bush in office, why would they not use that same white kryptonite to keep a Black man out of the White House?

What the world needs now is someone who can bring people together, which Barack has done, and that alone makes him the best candidate. The presidency isn't about what the president will do as much as how that person will respond to the will of all Americans, not just Blacks and whites. Go, Obama, go.
