The Wedge Co-op, a Minneapolis natural and organic food cooperative with almost 14,000 member-owners, last week announced the 13 2008 WedgeShare organizations that received a total of $50,000 in financial grants from the Wedge Co-op.

COLUMBUS, OH--Afrcan Americans are more optimistic about their financial future over the next year than the general population, but the majority of those responding acknowledge they don’t have a financial game plan and many don’t know where to start. A new survey of 1,200 participants commissioned by The Smiley Group and Nationwide Insurance shows 58 percent of African Americans expect their household situation to be better a year from now, compared to only 30 percent of the general population sharing similar optimism.
