WASHINGTON —The IRS warns taxpayers not to be fooled by the tricks scammers use to take advantage of those they target. Scammers use fake names, provide bogus IRS badge numbers and alter caller ID numbers to make it look like the IRS is calling.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals – MN Chapter is seeking nominations for the annual National Philanthropy Day awards. Minnesotans who make a difference as leaders, nonprofit professionals, philanthropists and volunteers will be recognized at the National Philanthropy Day luncheon at 11:30 am on November 20, 2015, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in St. Paul (soon-to-be named the InterContinental Hotel) by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Minnesota Chapter (AFP Minnesota).
