Fresh Air Radio, KFAI, wins Sally Irvine Vision Award

KFAI, Fresh Air Radio, on January 6th, was presented the 2002 Vision Award by the U.S. Bank Sally Ordway Irvine Awards 11th Anniversary Program, The awards were held at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts... KFAI, Fresh Air Radio, on January 6th, was presented the 2002 Vision Award by the U.S. Bank Sally Ordway Irvine Awards 11th Anniversary Program, The awards were held at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts McKnight Theater in Downtown St. Paul.

The Initiative Award recipient was Textile Center of Minnesota. Lawrence M. Redmond and Minnesota Citizens for the Arts received the Commitment Award. MacPhail Center for the Arts was the recipient of the Education Award.

Students from the MacPhail Center for the Arts performed at the beginning of the program.

The U.S. Bank Sally Ordway Irvine Awards are given annually to individuals and/or organizations that make significant contributions to Minnesota’s arts and cultural communities. The U.S. Bank Sally Ordway Irvine Awards are based on an award received by Sally Ordway Irvine in 1986. Now on display in Ordway Center’s lobby, the award was presented to Sally Ordway Irvine to recognize her role in making the $33 million Ordway Center for the Performing Arts a reality.
